No. We’ve come a long way in the last 15 to 20 years. Non-custodial parents, now referred to as the alternate residential parent, often get far more parenting time than the “standard” 80 days per year. State law has changed to require courts to “maximize” the parents’ time with their children. Absent some extenuating circumstance [distance, drug use, work schedule, etc.] you can expect to have as much time with your child[ren] as is reasonably possible.
If I am the non-custodial parent, am I limited to every other weekend and divided holidays with my child[ren]?
